What Now

I came to the sea older than I was before

Looking for a love that may not come again

I came through the clouds

On a pair of melting wings

Much too late

Tired and falling

There was no moon at all in the sky tonight

Sometimes the moon has no strength to shine her light

She falls into the sea and lays her secrets there

But only for a while

She's just stalling

So I call to the sea and I say

Here I am

Hour after hour, loud as I can

I say tell me, tell me, tell me old friend

Where to, what next, what now

Where to, what next, what now

Take me to the sea of things that are no more

Wake me tenderly from all my dreams

Sing me lullabies from the ocean floor

Far away, far below, and falling

Far away, far below, and falling

Far away, far below, and falling

Far away, far below, and falling

Far away, far below, and falling

Far away, far below, and falling
